Gallery Remote
Gallery Remote is a client-side Java application that provides users with a rich front-end to Gallery. This application makes it easier to upload images to your Gallery. Look at a screenshot.
Since Gallery Remote is a Java application, it requires you to have a Java Virtual Machine version 1.3 or later installed on your system. We have two versions of the installer, a large one that contains the Java Virtual Machine in it, and a small one that expects the Java Virtual Machine to be installed on your machine. When in doubt, download and install the large version. If you feel like living on the edge, you can try the small one first.
Click one of the links below to download Gallery Remote.

Platform  No JVM With JVM Comment
Windows

For the no VM version, you need to install Java 1.3 or 1.4 (preferred)
Mac OS X

No version for Mac OS 9

Windows XP Publishing Wizard.
This comes standard with every Gallery installation. All you have to do is point your web browser to
http://your.digital-gallery.com/gallery/publish_xp_docs.php and follow the instructions.
As the name implies, this only works on Windows XP. The advantage is a very close integration with the OS, which means very non-technical users will probably have an easier time with this than with other more complex tools.
galleryadd.pl
Another veteran of Gallery photo uploading, this script will upload whole folders of pictures in one fell swoop.
It's also pretty technical: you need to have Perl installed on your machine, which few people outside Geekdom do.
psa2gallery.pl
Adapted from galleryadd.pl, psa2gallery.pl lets you upload Photoshop Album albums to Gallery. The script will preserve the album thumbnail as well as all captions and EXIF data.
As with galleryadd.pl, you need to have Perl installed on your machine.
Mfop
This allows you to add pictures from your mobile phone, for those of us fortunate enough for having a picture-capable phone, or a more involved solution where their PDA can read their camera's memory cards and connect to the net using IrDA or Bluetooth to their phone.
This does not require downloading and installing an application, but it does require that you register and hand out information to the maintainer of Mfop.
iPhotoToGallery
This is a plugin for Apple's iPhoto (Mac-only). It currently only supports uploading to an album, but the authors seems to be highly motivated and will add new features such as resizing soon. A must for Mac users.
